There's an old expression that the personal is political. I haven't heard that expression used for some time, and too many people I meet seem not to care about politics, while many of the rest seem to care about nothing else. Can a balance be struck? And can one discuss serious issues without taking oneself too seriously?

If I'm not careful, my obituary will read, "Steve Marsh, of no fixed address..." I've lived too long to think that anything I say or do will change anything, but not long enough to stop trying. I'm far more competitive than I'd like to admit, and my favourite place to to be is in the midst of chaos, where I just have to figure out how to make it work.
